Submission Release.

Version 2026-09-28 · Last updated 27 September 2026

In plain words

  • You keep your story. Submitting gives us no rights to it.
  • We don't have to read it, reply, or make it. No word in 60 days means it's a pass.
  • Ideas aren't property. Pages are. If we're already making something similar, that alone isn't theft.
  • It's yours, it's original, and you're free to pitch it anywhere else.

The full terms below are what you agree to. The summary is here to help, not to replace them.

What this is

  1. This Submission Release (the "Release") is an agreement between you and Angry Tiger, a company registered in India ("Angry Tiger", "we", "us"). If you submit on behalf of a company, partnership or other entity, "you" means that entity, and you confirm you are authorised to accept this Release on its behalf.
  2. It applies to everything you send through the pitch form on angrytiger.in, and to anything further you send us about the same project, unless a later written agreement signed by both of us says otherwise (together, the "Submission").
  3. You accept this Release by ticking the box on the pitch form and typing your full name. That typed name is your signature. We keep a record of the version you accepted, the date and time, and the network address and browser it was accepted from.
  4. You must be 18 or older to submit.

What we accept

  1. Under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 there is no copyright in an idea, theme, plot or concept, only in its written expression. Two people can have the same idea. So we only consider written work: a title, a logline and a synopsis. We don't evaluate one line ideas, verbal pitches, or stories sent by email, social media or direct message.
  2. If we want to see more, such as a treatment, pages or a deck, we'll ask. Anything further you send about the same project is part of the Submission and covered by this Release.

What you promise

  1. The Submission is your original work. You are its sole author, or you have named every co-writer on the form. You have the right to submit it. It doesn't copy anyone else's work, published or unpublished, and doesn't use information someone told you in confidence. No existing agreement, such as an option or an exclusive deal, stops you from submitting it.
  2. If any of those promises turns out to be untrue, you will cover the reasonable costs, losses and legal fees Angry Tiger incurs from any claim a third party makes because of it.

What we don't promise

  1. Submitting is voluntary. We are not obliged to read, evaluate, respond to, develop or produce your Submission. No fee is charged or owed either way.
  2. Angry Tiger develops, commissions and receives stories all the time, and may already have, or may later have, projects similar to yours, whether our own, our collaborators' or other people's. Similarity alone does not give you a claim against us. We remain free to develop ideas, themes and elements that are not original to you, that are publicly available, or that we or others create independently.
  3. Until we both sign a written agreement, nothing binds us, not development, not an option, not a purchase, and not production. Conversations, meetings, requests for more material or interest we show do not create any agreement, obligation or relationship of trust (fiduciary or otherwise).
  4. If we haven't told you within 60 days of your submission that we want to take it further, treat it as a pass. You don't need to wait for a reply.
  5. Keep your own copy of everything you send. We are not responsible for loss or corruption of submitted material.

What we promise you

  1. You keep ownership. Submitting transfers no rights in your work to Angry Tiger.
  2. We won't share your Submission outside Angry Tiger, except with people helping us evaluate it (for example, a potential director or co-producer) who are bound to keep it confidential. If we pass, we won't use it or share it further.
  3. This is not exclusive. You are free to pitch the same project to anyone else, before, during and after your submission to us.
  4. We use your personal details only to evaluate your Submission and to reply to you. You can ask us to delete them at production@angrytiger.in; we may keep the record of this Release being accepted for as long as the law allows, to protect both of us.

Limits and law

  1. To the maximum extent Indian law permits, your rights and remedies arising from the Submission are limited to those under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957; you waive any right to an injunction restraining the development, production or release of any work; and you waive claims for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.
  2. If any part of this Release is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid part is replaced by the valid provision that comes closest to its purpose.
  3. This Release is governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
  4. This Release, together with any later written agreement signed by both of us, is the whole agreement between us about the Submission. We may update this Release for future submissions; the version you accepted governs yours.
