Privacy Policy.
In plain words
- We only collect what you type into our forms, plus the basics any website sees.
- We use it to answer you, consider your application or pitch, and send the news you signed up for.
- No advertising trackers. We don't sell your data or share it for marketing.
- Email hello@angrytiger.in to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
The full policy below is what applies. The summary is here to help, not to replace it.
Who we are
- This policy explains how Angry Tiger, a company registered in India ("Angry Tiger", "we", "us"), handles personal data collected through angrytiger.in. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for that data.
- Questions, requests and complaints about your data go to hello@angrytiger.in.
What we collect, and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and message. We use them to read and reply to you.
- First to know (newsletter) and waitlist: your email address. We use it to send announcements about Angry Tiger's films, series and launches. Every email carries a way to stop them.
- Join the house (the application on the Production page): your name, email address, the kind of role, what you do, any link you add, your message, and your CV if you upload one. We use them to consider you for work with us and to contact you about it.
- Pitches: your story's title, format, logline and synopsis, your name, email address, any co-writers you list, and your typed signature. Because the Submission Release is an agreement, we also record which version you accepted, when, and the network (IP) address and browser it was accepted from. We use all of this to read your pitch, reply to you, and keep a reliable record of what was submitted and what was agreed.
- Technical data: like any website, our servers receive your IP address and basic browser details with each request. We use them to deliver the site, keep it secure, and stop abuse such as spam and repeated form submissions.
- We only use your data for the purposes above, and we rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form. You can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights below). Withdrawing doesn't undo anything already done, and a signed Submission Release stays on record as proof of what was agreed.
Who handles it for us
- We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service:
- Vercel, which hosts the website. Supabase, which stores form submissions and uploaded CVs. Resend, which sends our emails, such as your copy of a signed Submission Release. Google Workspace, which runs our email inboxes. Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form is being sent by a person and not a bot, using technical signals from your browser.
- Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, it's done under the protections the law requires.
- We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or where it's needed to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
- The site doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They don't use cookies and don't identify you: they count page views and measure how fast pages load, in aggregate.
- Your browser stores one small note for the length of your visit so the opening animation only plays once. It never leaves your device.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter and waitlist addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Contact messages: up to two years after our last exchange with you.
- Applications and CVs: up to two years, so we can come back to you when something suitable opens, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Pitches and signed Submission Releases: as long as we may need them to show what was submitted and what was agreed. Because claims about stories can arise years later, this can be a long time.
- When we no longer need something, we delete it.
Your rights
- You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we've used it, ask us to correct, complete or update it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent, and you can nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you're unable to.
- To do any of this, email hello@angrytiger.in from the address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm it's you. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
- If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
- Submissions travel over encrypted connections. Stored data sits behind access controls, and uploaded CVs are kept in private storage that only authorised people at Angry Tiger can open. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you send us, and if a breach affects your data we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
- This site isn't meant for children. If you're under 18, please don't send us your personal data yourself. A parent or guardian can contact us for you.
Changes
- If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll tell you.
